JimCo is a full-service media production company based in New York with over 20 years of extensive experience. JimCo specializes in comedy content, both scripted and alternative, single camera as well as studio based multi-cam shows.
JimCo develops and produces original content and has produced for NBC, CBS, Fox, HBO, TBS, USA, WB, Comedy Central, E!, BBC America, MTV, Vh1, IFC, Logo, A&E, NatGeo, CMT, Oxygen, Bravo, Fuse, among others. JimCo has also provided corporate creative for Kraft, Yahoo, Fiat, Taco Bell, and TBS’ Dinner and a Movie.
In addition to original programming, JimCo provides third party production services. JimCo is a guild signatory.
As an Executive Producer, Writer and Showrunner, Jim has guided such trailblazing comedy shows as The Kids in the Hall, The Howard Stern Radio Show, The Tom Green Show, The Andy Dick Show, I’m With Busey, Michael and Michael Have Issues, The Whitest Kids U’ Know, The Onion News Network on IFC, and Would you Rather with Graham Norton for BBC America.
Prior to opening his own production company, JIMCO, Jim was VP Creative Affairs for Lorne Michaels’ Broadway Video Entertainment in New York.
Marla Ratner began her career producing documentaries at HBO. Her foray into comedy began when she was brought on to launch and oversee the NYC office of comedy production and management firm, Principato-Young Entertainment.
As a Manager, she developed the careers of an amazing list of actors, writers and directors, including David Wain, Michael Showalter, Tom Lennon, Ben Garant, AD Miles, Artie Lange, Cheryl Hines, Anthony Anderson, and Will Arnett, among others. In this capacity, she developed shows for both broadcast and cable outlets.
Ratner joined JimCo as partner - leveraging her deep talent relationships with her former clients as well as up and coming comedic talent.
